Struisbaai Safe House, Strusibaai

Struisbaai Meals on Wheels & Safe House is a registered organisation affiliated to Meals on Wheels Community Services in South Africa. They opened their doors in Struisbaai in August 2010.

They provide nutritious, balanced and warm meals to approximately 350 children at the local school. The services is also extended twice a week to 45 children at the crèche and they also provide emergency food parcels to families in desperate need. Sadly some children are not safe at home, so they established a home away from home. They accommodate children from birth to 15 years of age and their services is available to children in need in Struisbaai, Napier, Elim, Arniston, Protem, Klipdale, Suiderstrand, Buffelsjag and the farms in the district.
They are in desperate need to expand the Safehouse project by building cluster units. he cluster homes, a 'farther', 'mother' and 6 children, will provide a natural homely environment and continuous stability for children uprooted from their environment.
